Middle school is a time of significant growth and discovery, and at Westside Christian School, we are committed to guiding our students through these transformative years with a curriculum that challenges them academically while nurturing their spiritual development. For grades 6 through 8, our program utilizes the comprehensive, biblically integrated curriculum provided by BJU Press.

Academic Rigor and Integration of Faith

BJU Press curriculum is renowned for its rigorous academic standards and integration of Christian faith into the learning process. At Westside Christian, we believe that education should address more than just intellectual growth—it should also cultivate a deep, enduring faith.

Our students engage deeply with traditional core subjects:

Mathematics: From fundamentals to more advanced concepts, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that prepare them for high school mathematics.
Social Studies: We explore history, geography, and current events, teaching students to analyze and consider these areas from a Christian perspective.
Science: With a focus on inquiry and the scientific method, our science curriculum encourages students to explore God’s creation, understanding the world through a biblical worldview.
Language Arts:Reading comprehension, literary analysis, and effective communication are central, ensuring students can articulate their thoughts clearly and creatively.

Spiritual Development

Daily Bible classes and weekly chapel sessions are integral to our middle school program. Students study the Bible, learn about Christian character, and engage in service projects that instill a lifelong commitment to serving others and leading by example.
